Oleksandra Umanska is a spatial designer and multidisciplinary artist whose research explores how memory, cultural narratives, and social histories become embedded within architecture and landscapes.

Umanska uses storytelling, visual research, and speculative thinking to investigate the relationship between people, place, and memory. Drawing on her Ukrainian background, her work engages with vernacular architecture, folklore, post-Soviet landscapes, and cultural heritage to examine how places preserve, transform, or lose meaning over time.

Umanska holds an MA in Interior Design from the Royal College of Art and was an Artist in Residence at the Fire Station in Doha. Her work has been exhibited internationally, with notable exhibitions at Milan Design Week, the Future Days Festival in Lisbon, the East2046 Festival in London, the Fire Station in Doha, and the United Nations Foundation Inaugural Global Symposium: The Accelerator for Systemic Risk Assessment (ASRA) in Paris — working across scales from the intimate domestic interior to landscape-scale installations.
