If the buildings could talk, what stories would they tell?
Reverie Ruins is an installation exploring the stories embedded in architecture destroyed by war. Developed during the Air 8 residency at the Fire Station in Doha, the project reflects on how buildings become witnesses to violence, displacement, and loss.
Focusing on war-damaged environments in Ukraine, the work imagines what these ruined structures might say if they could speak.
The project examines ruins as more than physical remains of destruction. Damaged buildings often become silent records of the events that took place within and around them. By looking at these structures as carriers of memory, Reverie Ruins explores how architecture can hold traces of conflict and human experience long after the moment of destruction.
